Earning Money with Google Adsense for Domains?

Google Adsense for domains is a great way for your domains that are sitting "dead in the water" to collect revenue. When you purchase and do not use your domains, generally your registrar will place ad's and "park" your domain. What you don't know is that they are making money off of you not using your site.

One thing you have to understand is that unless you have a very popular domain name that generates a great deal of unique visitors you probably will not be able to retire right away. However, earning a few bucks a day doing nothing can't hurt, right?

Google Adsense has two forms of advertising available for you. You can create a website and host it through a hosting company. Doing this you will use Google Adsense for content and get a HTML code from Google to post ad's on your website. However, we are going to be discussing Google Adsense for Domains.This is basically domain parking, but your making money. Google will park your domain for free, and place several Google Adwords Ad's on the website. You earn money when someone visits the website and clicks on a link.

To begin you need to have an account with Google Adsense. For starters without an account you will need to create one using all of your information, including tax information, and then verify your account. Once you have your account set up, or you are signed into your account, click on the"My Ads" link on the navigational menu from your homepage. On the"My ads" page, look on the left-hand side of the page and click on the link that says "Domains." Again on the left-hand side of the page make sure the link "Hosted Domains" is selected and highlighted.

Once you are on the "Hosted Domain" site within your Google Adsense account what we want to do now is tell Google we are going to be using their services for your domains. Click on the button that says "+New Hosted Domain." Doing this will take you to a different page that will allow you to add your domains. If you have just one domain you would like to park, enter it in the box. If you have multiple domains you would like to park, list them each on a new line in the box provided. If you have an excel file that you wish to use to upload your domains, you may do so using the file upload box provided. Next, select which language you would like the content on your site to be. This should be targeted to the most people you think are going to be visiting your website. After choosing your language click the button "Add domains." A box will then pull up with instructions on what to do next. You will have a link that you can follow that will explain how to set up your domains to point them to Google's servers; something I will explain in the next paragraph.

Once we have your Google Adsense account set up and your domains added we are going to point your domains to Google's servers. This is basically telling the domain where to go when someone types the domain name into their address bar.We need to log-in to the registrar in which your domain is located, or where you purchased your domain.Don't be afraid to contact your registrar's support team if you are lost, they can walk you through this part. What we are wanting to do is update the "Name Servers" for that domain. Find the area of your account where you can tell them the new name servers for that domain. Once you have located them you will need to have four different name servers for Google. Clear out the current name servers and list the new ones separately as listed:

* ns1.googleghs.com
* ns2.googleghs.com
* ns3.googleghs.com
* ns4.googleghs.com

Do not add the " * " (Astrix symbol) with the addresses. Once you have added them click save and you should be ready to go. You should give it anywhere from 12-48 hours for all of the updates to take place.

You will notice when looking at your hosted domains with Google(Adsense.google.com>My Ads>Domains>Hosted Domains) you may notice your domains have a red error code next to them. After giving Google around 12-48hours after updating your name servers with your registrar, click "Request Verification". You will then notice that red error is now yellow and it is verifying all of the information and updates. After about five minutes refresh that page and you should see a green code that says "Active." Don't worry, if you do not see that give Google a day or so to catch up before contacting them for help.

Once your domain is "Active" click on your
domain name in your account. You will be taken to another page where you can change your preferences for your parked domain, and even add keywords for targeted ad's. A custom channel is basically an easy way for you to organize all of your domains if you are posting many of them on your account. Keywords are telling Google what type of ad related content should be on your site. For instance, if you add a keyword "computer" you may get ad's pertaining to computers. It pertains to Erectile Dysfunction, and Erectile Dysfunction is a keyword I'm using on my account, so I have Erectile Dysfunction ad's on my page. Next you will chose if you would like a text only site, a graphic site, or you can allow Google to choose (Recommended). When you are finished click save, and you are done!

Google reports earnings with a delay. After someone clicks on your ad, it could take anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour before it shows up in your earnings.

Is it good to buy domains from yahoo?

Yahoo.com happens to be one of the largest domain name registrars in the world, and one of the reasons is because they offer great customer service and low prices on their domain names.
Yahoo! provides services such as Yahoo! Domains, Yahoo! Web Hosting, Yahoo! Merchant Solutions, Yahoo! Business Email and Yahoo! Store to small business owners and professionals allowing them to build their own online stores using Yahoo!'s tools.
You can buy domains from yahoo like any other domain providing site.But at yahoo the domains are quite cheaper then other domain selling sites.They provide domains for $3.95 for first time.If you want to start a website, then domain name is the must to start a website. At yahoo if you buy a web-hosting package, then they provide domain name absolutely free.

If you are looking for a cheap,reliable, and secure domain registration company then I highly recommend Yahoo! Domains.
Also, Yahoo Domains, unlike many domain providers, offers phone/email service.

Many people do not realize that buying a domain name is only the first step in getting your website up and running. All providers also require that you also purchase a web hosting package with your domain name or provide the hosting services yourself.

Almost 90% of all web sites are hosted by shared hosting providers such as Yahoo! Web Hosting, Godaddy, or Ipowerweb. I suggest Yahoo! Web Hosting if you are considering purchasing a web hosting service. Not only do you get a free domain name (from Yahoo! Domains) when you buy a Yahoo! Web Hosting plan, but you also get 24/7 toll free phone support from one of the most trusted companies on the internet.

There are no refunds on Yahoo Domain purchases, so make sure that you really want to buy the domain name.
